2013 Haven Hill Festival to be Held Again at Highland State Recreation Area
The Haven Hill Festival, a celebration of Edsel and Eleanor Fords’ historic Haven Hill Estate and the Highland State Recreation Area, will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2012. Parking is at the Goose Meadow picnic shelter area, the 1st right turn on Haven Hill Road after you enter the park off of M-59 between Duck Lake and Bogie Lake roads. Bring picnic blankets, sun umbrellas, and folding chairs to stay and watch the Old Fashioned Base Ball game! Food will be available for purchase as a fund raiser for the Friends of Highland Recreation Area. The Friends of Highland Recreation Area (FOHRA), is a non-profit organization supporting the Highland State Recreation Area in Highland/White Lake, Michigan, and the historic Edsel Ford Haven Hill Estate structures within its boundaries
Fords, Food, and Fun for All at Haven Hill![]()
Members of the Livingston A’s will be bringing some of their finest collector Model A Ford automobiles to this years’ Haven Hill Festival. The A’s enjoy driving all of their beautiful cars, so expect to see them buzzing about the park at various times of the day on August 24th.
The Friends of Highland Recreation Area will be providing summertime foods and fun as a fundraiser for their efforts to restore and repurpose the Haven Hill complex at Highland State Recreation Area in Highland/White Lake, Michigan. Count on ice cream, hot dogs, cold water, and other Michigan products to be provided to the public at reasonable prices.
The Festival will include things for kids to do too. Bring along the little ones for a great day at the park!

Photo Exhibit Returns During 2013 Haven Hill Festival
An amazing collection of never-been-seen-before historic photographs from Edsel and Eleanor Ford’s Haven Hill estate will be on display on Saturday, August 25th at the 2012 Haven Hill Festival at Highland State Recreation Area. These original photos were donated to the Friends of Highland Recreation Area (FOHRA) by Mr. and Mrs. George Penney from Kinburn, Ontario, Canada. Come catch a glimpse into the history of Haven Hill in photographs made by Mr. and Mrs. Harry and Amy North, the original housekeepers employed by Edsel and Eleanor Ford. 10:00 am until 4:00 pm.

Come see the Haven Hill Barn Stormers play the 1860’s Base Ball!
